Selective Nitrate Transmembrane Transport Through Adaptive Weak C─H Bonding Cyanostilbene Water Channels

Here we demonstrate that weak HB CH donor cyanostilbenes promote water/ion transport through their ability to form less‐ordered transient water channels within the lipid bilayer with increased water permeability and NO3−/ Cl− selectivity. ABSTRACT Heterozygous variants in the AHDC1 gene are associated with Xia Gibbs Syndrome (XGS), a genetic disorder with a highly variable phenotype. Cognitive impairment, motor delay, language delay, neonatal hypotonia, and sleep apnea are considered “cardinal” signs of the disease.
