Unraveling Alkali Ion Electron Donation for Enhancing Heterogeneous Catalytic Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new mechanistic pathway for potassium (K) ions as electron donors is identified by constructing single K ion chains confined within hexagonal WO3 tunnels. The as‐produced high‐electron‐density Kδ+ (0<δ<1) ions not only facilitate the formation of oxygen vacancies that behave classical electronic effect but, more importantly, also directly donate ...

Transition‐Metal‐Free Zeolite Composites for Tandem Catalytic Conversion of Methane to Light Olefins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light olefins can be produced from methane using a cascade catalytic system that combines transition‐metal‐free (FER zeolite with an acidic zeolite, such as SAPO‐34, under relatively mild conditions. In this tandem process, methane is first oxidized to methanol over the FER zeolite and then converted to olefins via the MTO reaction on the acidic ...

Osmotically Tunable Microdroplets Enable Amplification‐Free CRISPR Detection of Gene Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel amplification‐free clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR‐associated protein (CRISPR/Cas) 12a assay is integrated with osmotically shrinkable double emulsion droplets for the rapid and ultrasensitive detection of gene doping.

RNAi Regulator C3PO Promotes Arbovirus Infection in Insect Vectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA interference (RNAi) is vital for eukaryotes to defend against virus infection. The C3PO complex takes part in RNAi but its role in regulating viral infection remains unclear. This work finds that insect C3PO facilitates arbovirus replication by degrading precursors of miRNAs, especially miR‐971‐3p.

Toward Sustainable Pesticide Application: Bridging Efficacy and Food Safety

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully bio‐based lignin coacervate system is developed for pesticide delivery, enhancing leaf retention, UV resistance, adhesion, and wetting. The formulation enables pH/laccase‐triggered release for prolonged action, reduces ecological toxicity, and is fully washable, reconciling agricultural efficacy with food and environmental safety.
