Pest detection dogs for wood boring longhorn beetles [PDF]
AbstractInvasive alien species are increasing due to globalization. Their spread has resulted in global economic losses. Asian [Anoplophora glabripennis(Motschulsky)] (ALB) and citrus [A. chinensis(Forster)] (CLB) longhorn beetles are two introduced wood borers which contribute to these economic losses e.g. the destruction of tree plantations.

TreeVibes: Modern Tools for Global Monitoring of Trees for Borers
Is there a wood-feeding insect inside a tree or wooden structure? We investigate several ways of how deep learning approaches can massively scan recordings of vibrations stemming from probed trees to infer their infestation state with wood-boring insects

Pest Detection and Obliteration Based Robotic System
Pest infestation is one of the major challenges by farmers. If these pests are not controlled, they can cause threat to harvest, thus generating a huge loss for the farmers. Thus, pesticides have to be supplied to plants. However, extensive usage of pesticide can cause adverse effects on a human s life when the harvest enters the food chain.

A review of pest surveillance techniques for detecting quarantine pests in
This paper provides reviews of the most commonly used methods to detect plant pests belonging to groups of invasive organisms with high economic relevance, including Coleoptera (bark beetles, flathead borers, leaf beetles, longhorn beetles, weevils), Diptera (cone and seed flies, fruit flies), Homoptera (aphids, leafhoppers and psyllids, whiteflies ...
