Toward Sustainable Pesticide Application: Bridging Efficacy and Food Safety

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully bio‐based lignin coacervate system is developed for pesticide delivery, enhancing leaf retention, UV resistance, adhesion, and wetting. The formulation enables pH/laccase‐triggered release for prolonged action, reduces ecological toxicity, and is fully washable, reconciling agricultural efficacy with food and environmental safety.

Diversity and horizontal gene transfer of mycoviruses in Exserohilum turcicum population from northern corn leaf blight of maize

open access: yesPhytopathology Research
Northern corn leaf blight, caused by Exserohilum turcicum, severely affects maize yields globally. Some mycoviruses induce host hypovirulence in phytopathogenic fungi, offering the potential for fungal biocontrol.

When managers forage for pests: Implementing the functional response in pest management

open access: yesEcological Modelling, 2019
In this study, we explore how the functional response framework can be imple- mented in pest management. Here, managers take the role of predators foraging on pests and facing monetary costs for survey and control in a spatial domain where the pest distribution and control strategy do not have to be random. To investigate this framework quantitatively,

Non‐Tariff Measures and U.S. Agricultural Exports

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
Abstract How much do non‐tariff measures (NTMs) affect U.S. agricultural exports? While countries maintain a large and diverse set of NTMs to safeguard the health of plants, animals, and humans, policymakers and regulatory bodies may neglect the impact these measures have on international trade.
