Multi‐Band Excitation of NIR‐II Lanthanide Nanoparticles via Multiple‐Dye Cascade Sensitization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A cascade multiple‐dye sensitization strategy that enables lanthanide‐doped DSNPs to be efficiently excited across the entire UV–Vis–NIR window (270–1030 nm) while retaining strong and tunable NIR‐II emission. ABSTRACT Lanthanide‐doped downshifting nanoparticles (DSNPs) emitting in the near‐infrared‐II (NIR‐II) window offer distinct advantages for deep‐

Pesticide MRLs as Trade Barriers: Evidence From Vietnam's Coffee and Rice Exporters

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As tariffs have declined globally through bilateral and regional trade agreements, food safety standards have emerged as significant determinants of agricultural trade flows. This study examines the impact of maximum residue limits (MRLs) for five pesticides—Azoxystrobin, Chlorpyrifos, Chlorantraniliprole, Clothianidin, and Cyhalothrin—on ...

Synergistic Lewis Acid Photocatalysis Over Cluster‐Defect‐Engineered UiO‐66 for Efficient Liquid Biomass Upgrading

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A cluster‐defect engineering strategy is presented for the rational design of Zn‐incorporated UiO‐66 photocatalysts. Selective acid etching mediates hierarchical porosity and abundant Lewis acid sites, tailoring the electronic structure and enhancing light harvesting.

Quantitative Photo‐Reforming of Biomass to CO Spurred by In Situ Protonation of Carbon Dioxide Radical Anions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A “two‐in‐one” photoreduction strategy enabled by electron‐rich yolk Cd species both remote from and adjacent to sulfur vacancies is delivered to be ultraselective for the reduction of O2 and •CO2− in situ formed on the shell Bi2S3 composition (hole) by water oxidation and oxidative C–C cleavage of various biomass organic acids, furnishing CO with > 99%
