Quantitative Analysis of Fluorescent Sensor Arrays

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Accepted Article.
Fluorescent sensor arrays address the limitations of a single sensor by leveraging multiple sensing elements to generate unique response patterns for each of the analyte of interest. This approach has emerged as a powerful tool for identifying and analysing intricate chemical and biological environments using various multivariate analytical tools such ...

Dental fluorosis in the European roe deer (Capreolus capreolus): A review of the pathological changes in the enamel of fluorotic cheek teeth and the abnormal pattern of dental wear in affected dentitions

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract This article reviews the pathological changes in the enamel of permanent mandibular cheek teeth and their sequelae in European roe deer from regions polluted by anthropogenic fluoride emissions. The primary (developmental) changes of fluorotic roe deer enamel are hypomineralization and microstructural aberrations, including enamel hypoplasia ...

Pine bio‐oil based biorefinery procedure for the production of antioxidants, acids, and sugars

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract In this study, a wood‐based biorefinery with Pinus halepensis biomass was developed to obtain acids, sugars, and antioxidants with high recovery yields. Pine wood residues from sustainable forest management are transformed into bio‐oil (BO) and separated into value‐added chemicals with an integrated and innovative methodology.

Non‐targeted metabolite profiling reveals biochemical diversity of three East Asian mosses

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
Mosses are known for their bioactive composition and adaptation to environmental stresses. This study explores the metabolic diversity of three East Asian moss species, Niphotrichum japonicum, Calohypnum plumiforme, and Polytrichum formosum, using high‐resolution mass spectrometry. Lipids, particularly unsaturated fatty acids linked to cold adaptation,
