Cold EI—The Way to Improve GC‐MS and Increase Its Range of Applications
ABSTRACT Gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS) with Cold electron ionization (EI) is based on interfacing the GC and MS with a supersonic molecular beam (SMB) along with electron ionization of vibrationally cold sample compounds in the SMB in a contact‐free fly‐through ion source (hence the name Cold EI).

Hybrid composites with tunable balance properties were prepared using PVA and PLLA blend matrix reinforcements with cotton or bleached jute. Better bonding capacity between filler and matrix and also fiber absorb more heat as compared to PVA and PLLA, which help to enhance thermal stability.

Catalysis Science in China: From Traditional Techniques to Modern Innovations
The discipline of catalysis arrived at China in 1860s. The country started immediately to employ catalytic technologies to produce traditional sulfuric acid, for example, the Cylinder‐Tower Method during World WarII. Interestingly, the first Chinese term Cui Hua of catalysis appeared much late in 1930s. In recent years, however, China has become one of

We demonstrate that the BNG‐Ir13 cluster with low oxygen coverage exhibits a more negative methane adsorption energy and a lower activation energy barrier for methane dissociation compared to its high‐oxygen‐coverage counterpart. This suggests that the low‐oxygen‐coverage BNG‐Ir13 cluster is a promising catalyst for the selective conversion of methane ...

Addition of nanofibrillated cellulose and compatibilizer improved interfacial adhesion and enhanced tensile strength in poly(lactic acid)/poly(butylene succinate) blends. Abstract This study investigates the effects of pristine and acetylated nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) and a poly(lactic acid)‐co‐poly(butylene succinate) (PLA‐co‐PBS) compatibilizer

Robust β‐myrcene block copolymer elastomeric vitrimers
Myrcene‐based vitrimeric elastomers were compared: statistical (poly(styrene‐stat‐myrcene‐stat‐AAEMA)] versus ‘hard–soft’ diblock (poly(styrene)‐block‐poly(myrcene‐co‐AAEMA)). The diblock's ability to anchor the glassy poly(styrene) blocks in a self‐assembled microstructure was effective – leading to four times higher tensile stress and ten times ...
