Ghana and the Ideal of the Citizen-Shareholder: A Corporate-Law Response to the Resource Curse [PDF]
This Note assesses Ghana’s legal regime for managing revenues from its newfound petroleum reserves as a means of combatting the resource curse—the well-documented political and economic phenomenon wherein resource-rich countries experience greater levels

Simulation of incompressible two-phase flow in porous media with large timesteps [PDF]
Multiphase flow in porous media occurs in several disciplines including petroleum reservoir engineering, petroleum systems' analysis, and CO$_2$ sequestration. While simulations often use a fully implicit discretization to increase the time step size, restrictions on the time step often exist due to non-convergence of the nonlinear solver (e.g.

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Wear resistance evaluation of palm fatty acid distillate using four-ball tribotester [PDF]
Petroleum reserves are declining nowadays while ironically petroleum is a major source of pollution despite many uses. Researchers are in effort to find an alternative to replace petroleum as a lubricant.

Biointerfacing with AgBiS2 Quantum Dots for Pseudocapacitive Photostimulation
It is demonstrated that AgBiS2 quantum dots exhibit unique photoinduced pseudocapacitive charge transfer properties, enabling efficient light‐to‐electrical energy conversion. These quantum dots facilitate enhanced light absorption and transduction when integrated with ZnO nanowires, which serve as an effective charge transport medium.

Polar Pore Surface of Polyamide Membranes Enabling Efficient Solvent Mixture Separation
A polyamide membrane with polar pore surfaces and relatively large pore is fabricated through interfacial polymerization between polyethyleneimine and trimesoyl chloride. Rapid separation of solvents with polarity differences is achieved by the synergistic effects of pore polarity and size sieving.

Apart from the hypothesis of a cosmic origin (which failed of acceptancebecause it was not adequately supported by facts), the only important controversy concerning the origin of petroleum has been, fora, long time, between the advocates of inorganic and of organic origin respectively. Each of these theories has had along history of development, and is
