Through the exploiting of visible‐light, a key photoactive complex, and an acid‐catalyzed proton‐coupled electron transfer, polycyclic sulfonylated benzimidazoles are obtained through a domino process including sulfonylation, C–H activation, and annulation. Diarylmethylium tetrafluoroborates are employed as inexpensive organocatalyst capable of forming

A ruthenium‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (RuAAC) reaction is reported for the synthesis of selenium‐substituted triazole products. Reaction regioselectivity is dependent on the identity of the non‐selenium substituent of the alkyne, which challenges the perceived understanding of RuAAC regioselectivity.

A new one‐pot, dual catalytic strategy for the synthesis of polycyclic isoquinolinone‐fused quinoxalines from commercially available N‐(2‐acetamidophenyl)benzamides and 1,3‐diynes is reported. This transformation proceeds via Rh(III)/Pd(II)‐mediated sequential NH/CH activation/annulation. Detailed mechanistic studies elucidate the reaction pathway. A

A dual photocatalytic system of o‐PQ and Sn(OTf)2 enables visible light‐induced Mannich‐type addition of ethers to nitrones via Csp³–H activation. This oxidant‐free method offers broad scope and good yields. Mechanistic studies suggest that a photoexcited o‐PQ–Sn(II) complex mediates hydrogen atom transfer to form α‐oxy radicals for nitrone addition. A
