The economic impact of taxes on refined petroleum products in the Philippines

Energy, 1993
Abstract This paper uses an aggregate modelling approach to assess the impact of taxes on refined petroleum products on the Philippine economy. The effects of removing the 48% tax on premium and regular gasoline and the 24% tax on other refined petroleum products on prices and quantities are examined.

PETROLEUM REFINING INDUSTRY: AN ASSESSMENT OF ITS PRODUCTION STRUCTURE*

Australian Economic Papers, 2006
Cost structure of petroleum refining industry in Kuwait has been examined, with specific focus on factor substitution, and economies of scale and utilisation. This has been done by estimating translog cost functions, both long‐run and short‐run, using annual time‐series data covering the period from 1976 to 1998.

Efficiency assessment of Iran's petroleum refining industry in the presence of unprofitable output: A dynamic two-stage slacks-based measure

, 2019
Iran ranks as the fifth largest producer of crude oil in the world. Therefore, the country has the potential to play an important role in the global petroleum products market. Surprisingly, Iran cannot satisfy the domestic demand for transportation fuels,

Estimation of production costs of complex petroleum refining processes

Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 1971
1. The existing method for the calculation of production costs of complex processes is inadequate since it is based on the division of products into basic and side products and does not reveal the real costs involved in the production of individual products.

Prospect of Controlled Autoxidation to Produce High‐Value Products from the Low‐Value Petroleum Fractions

The chemical record
Substantial amounts of low‐value light petroleum fractions and low‐value heavy petroleum fractions, such as light naphtha, HVGO, and vacuum residue, are generated during the upgrading and refining of conventional and unconventional petroleum resources ...

Microwave-assisted extraction for refining of petroleum wax distillate feedstock

Journal of Cleaner Production, 2019
The removal of multiple-ring aromatics from the petroleum fractions in general and lubricating oil feedstocks particularly have been conventionally done either by solvent extraction or hydrotreatment processes.

An evaluation of the effects of the tax on refined petroleum products in the Philippines

Energy Economics, 1993
Abstract This paper uses an aggregate modelling approach to assess the effect of taxes on refined petroleum products in the Philippine economy. The approach used in the analysis consists of a general equilibrium model comprising 14 producing sectors, 14 consuming sectors, 3 household categories classified by income and a government.

Assessment of the impact of the tax on refined petroleum products in the Philippines

Applied Energy, 1993
This paper uses an aggregate modelling approach to assess the impact of taxes in refined-petroleum products on the Philippine's economy. The approach used in the analysis consists of a general equilibrium model composed of 14 producing sectors, 14 consuming sectors, three household categories classified by income, and a government.

Exergy Evaluation of Petroleum Production and Refining Processes

2012
This chapter deals with the application of exergy analysis to primary and refining petroleum processes due to the important exergy consumption they require. It describes the exergy and thermoeconomic analysis of an offshore platform. The comparative performance of two artificial lift systems is presented and discussed in detail through a scenario of 25

Application of the luciferase cell culture bioassay for the detection of refined petroleum products

Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2002
A luciferase cell culture-based bioassay, developed to detect 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD)-like activity of halo-genated and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, was optimized to detect refined petroleum products and to determine their relative inducing potency.
