Magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, magnetic moment and characterization of Carancas meteorite [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Geofisica 64, Enero 2012-Diciembre 2014, Instituto Panamericano de Geografia e Historia IPGH, ISSN 0252-9769, 2013
On September, 15th, 2007, in the community of Carancas (Puno, Peru) a stony meteorite formed a crater explosive type with a mean diameter of 13.5 m. some samples meteorite fragments were collected. The petrologic analysis performed corresponds to a meteorite ordinary chondrite H 4-5. In this paper we have analyzed the magnetic properties of a meteorite

Petrogenetic and geochemical characteristics of some auriferous granitoids in the Kumasi Basin, Ghana: Implications for geodynamic settings and controls of orogenic gold mineralization in the Edikan Gold Mine

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The Fobinso granitoids are granodiorites, while the Esuajah granitoids are granites based on their mineralogical composition. The granitoids are generally enriched in LILE and LREE than HFSE, MREE, and HREE, indicating mixing with crustal sources during their evolution.

Around seven decades river course shifting and bank erosion susceptibility of river Mujnai

open access: yesRiver, Volume 1, Issue 2, Page 221-239, November 2022., 2022
Abstract River bank erosion is a destructive fluvio‐hydrological hazard particularly inhabited flood plain of the dynamic Himalayan foreland basin. Every year during monsoonal months, morphology of the landscape is continuously modifying through the dynamic river system.

Tertiary-Quaternary intra-plate magmatism in Europe and its relationship to mantle dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Anorogenic intra-plate magmatism was widespread in Europe from early Tertiary to Recent times, extending west to east from Spain to Bulgaria, and south to north from Sicily to northern Germany. Magmatism is spatially and temporally associated with Alpine-

A perspective review of applications of the computed tomography (CT) scan imaging technique for microscopic reservoir rock characterization

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
In this review, the application of micro‐CT and medical‐CT scanning in the oil and gas industry has been thoroughly discussed. Recent improvements in DRP and modern imaging techniques in the oil and gas industry have been modeled using both experimental and simulation work.

1D Anisotropic Surface Wave Tomography with Bayesian Inference [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Classically, anisotropic surface wave tomography is treated as an optimisation problem where it proceeds through a linearised two-step approach. It involves the construction of 2D group or phase velocity maps for each considered period, followed by the inversion of local dispersion curves inferred from these maps for 1D depth-functions of the elastic ...

Characterization of the permeability evolution of hard and soft rocks under hydro‐mechanical coupling conditions

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The permeability variation of rocks during complete stress–strain processes was investigated. A mathematical model describing the influence of rock damage on permeability was constructed. The permeability–stress relationship between soft rock and hard rock was proposed.
