Borehole Geophysical Joint Inversion to Fully Evaluate Shaly Sandstone Formations
Simultaneous inversion of sonic, density, and electrical resistivity borehole-derived well logs, has been addressed in literature in recent years. However, this problem is not broadly studied for dual-porosity sandstone formations.

Resistivity Change Mechanism in the Carbon Dioxide Sequestration Process
This study explores the variation law, influencing factors, and mechanisms of resistivity in the interaction between CO₂ and saltwater. This study used a hollow PEEK conductor to simulate core pores. With excellent thermal stability, mechanical strength, and electrical insulation, its homogeneous, nonporous nature eliminates interference from rock ...

Magma Storage Below Sabancaya Volcano (Southern Peru) Imaged by Broadband Magnetotellurics
Abstract Sabancaya volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Central Andes. Its ongoing eruptive process is accompanied by large‐scale deformation, with activation of the Huambo‐Cabanaconde fault system, marked by intense seismicity over an area of about 50 × 30 km2 ${\mathrm{k}\mathrm{m}}^{2}$.

Pore‐Scale Transition Behavior of Digital Carbonate Rock Dissolution During CO2 Geo‐Sequestration
Abstract Carbon dioxide‐rich brine formation during geological carbon sequestration induces calcite dissolution, governed by the physicochemical coupling of fluid flow, reactive transport, and pore structure evolution. Unveiling the mechanisms that control this dissolution, particularly under varying flow and structural conditions, is essential for ...

Abstract Subsurface heterogeneity influences watershed hydrology strongly but remains difficult to characterize at catchment scales with sparse and costly field data. Geophysical surveys such as electromagnetic induction (EMI) provide local spatial subsurface images yet scaling them to watershed scales and converting EMI‐derived resistivity into ...
