Quantitative Insights into Atomic Scale Oil–Clay Adhesion Governing Shale Oil Retention and Mobility
Atomic force microscopy reveals a clear adhesion hierarchy between shale oil and clay minerals, governed by nanoscale surface chemistry. Strong interactions on chlorite and illite arise from abundant polar sites and cation bridging, whereas weaker coupling on montmorillonite limits interfacial binding.

Mapping and modelling of petrophysical and stratigraphic properties of peat soil with ground penetrating radar [PDF]
Peatland’s economic importance and environmental impact have made it attractive to scientific research. Great amount of works were done in studying its petrophysical behaviours. Most of the works are however done with reference to the peatland deposit of

Evaluation of Drillability of the Mahu Conglomerate Formation in Xinjiang, China
This graphical abstract illustrates the workflow for developing an optimized prediction model using measurement while drilling (MWD) data. A total of 90 MWD cases are divided into a training set (80%) and a test set (20%). Four logging‐while‐drilling parameters—compensation density, acoustic travel time, resistivity, and neutron porosity—are selected ...
