Petrophysical applications of NMR imaging
Applied Optics, 1985A system for obtaining high-resolution NMR images of oil field cores is described. Separate proton density and T2 relaxation images are obtained to distinguish between spatial variations of fluid-filled porosity and the physical nature of the pores. Results are presented for typical sandstones.

Assessment of reliability of petrophysical data during construction of unified petrophysical model

2001
Oil and gas are contained in pores of reservoir rocks such as carbonates and sandstones. In order to assess a possible hydrocarbon reservoir, the porosity and hydrocarbon saturations need to be known, which together define the amount of hydrocarbon per unit volume of rock.

The Bavarian Petrophysics-Database
The Bavarian Geological Survey is developing a comprehensive petrophysical database for characterization of the underground potential. It includes thermal, hydraulic, elasto-mechanical, and electromagnetic rock properties, from samples from our drill core repository, containing more than 90,000 m core/cuttings material.Lima, Selma M.* +5 more
