A Portable CMOS Based pH Sensor

2020 IEEE 63rd International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2020
This paper demonstrates a portable pH sensing system which converts pH to a digital readout. The system consists of a CMOS ISFET pH sensor with discrete analog to digital conversion and display modules. The front end sensor was fabricated in standard 0.5 µm CMOS technology and an easy to use Arduino microcontroller is used as the computing device ...

Passive multivariable RFID pH sensors

2011 IEEE International Conference on RFID-Technologies and Applications, 2011
Sensing of pH with single-use gamma sterilizable sensors is needed in single-use bioprocess components. In this study, we explored pH sensing films based on polyaniline (PANI) that were deposited onto our recently developed passive radio-frequency identification (RFID) sensors.

A remote query magnetoelastic pH sensor

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2000
A remote query magnetoelastic pH sensor comprised of a magnetoelastic thick-film coated with a mass-changing pH-responsive polymer is described. In response to a magnetic query field the magnetoelastic sensor mechanically vibrates at a characteristic frequency that is inversely dependent upon the mass of the attached polymer layer.

A Remotely Interrogatable Magnetochemical pH Sensor

1997 IEEE International Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG'97), 1997
A new type of sensor is presented that allows for remote, in-situ, continuous, long term monitoring of given chemical stimuli. The sensor is comprised of a thin polymeric layer made so that it swells in the presence of certain stimuli, bounded on each side by a magnetically soft thin film.

meso-Tetraarylporpholactones as high pH sensors

The Analyst, 2010
The ability of meso-tetra(pentafluorophenyl)porpholactone (T(F)PL) and its Pt(II) complex [meso-tetra(pentafluorophenyl)porpholactonato]Pt(II) (T(F)PLPt) to function as optical high pH sensors is described. Under strongly alkaline or high methoxide conditions, their UV-vis spectra undergo dramatic and reversible red-shifts.

Model For An Optical Fiber Ph Sensor

SPIE Proceedings, 1987
The present paper is concerned with the design of a model of fiber optic sensor for pH measurement in the physiological range (7. 0-7. 5). Up to now a few pH fiber optic sensor have been developed. The model here described makes use of a liquid optrode, formed by a dye solution contained within a membrane, attached to the end of a couple of optical ...

Holographic pH Sensors

2014
Dynamic photonic structures can be modulated by changing the periodic structure and/or the index of refraction. These dynamic photonic structures allow responsive capability for sensing external stimuli to control the properties of light and act as optical transducers.

A microelectronic pH sensor.

Journal of bioengineering, 1978
This paper presents preliminary data on a new integrated circuit microelectronic pH sensor. The device is extremely miniaturized by the use of integrated circuit technology, and uses the intrinsic hydrogen ion selective properties of the gate insulator material.
