Molecular characterization of selected PHA producers [PDF]
Diplomová práce se zabývá molekulárně biologickou charakterizací vybraných producentů polyhydroxyalkanoátů (PHA). V rámci práce byly pomocí molekulárně biologických metod identifikovány a charakterizovány PHA produkující termofilní izoláty pocházející ze

Phytohemagglutinin content in fresh kidney bean in China
Fresh kidney beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) are common green vegetable that are widely cultured and consumed worldwide. The benefits of fresh kidney beans are highly substantial, but at the same time, toxicity caused by phytohemagglutinin (PHA) has raised

ABSTRACT We introduce RNA‐DNA fusomers, a new class of chemically synthesized oligonucleotides that combine the versatile properties of RNA and DNA within a single sequence and self‐assemble into higher‐order functional structures via a simple one‐pot annealing reaction.

Role of Genetic Redundancy in Polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) Polymerases in PHA Biosynthesis in Rhodospirillum rubrum [PDF]
This study investigated the apparent genetic redundancy in the biosynthesis of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) in the Rhodospirillum rubrum genome revealed by the occurrence of three homologous PHA polymerase genes (phaC1, phaC2, and phaC3).

This study shows that incorporating 5–10 wt.% Posidonia oceanica, with or without micro‐talc, in PBSA preserves thermal stability, modifying crystallization behavior, and maintains good filler dispersion and interfacial adhesion. Mechanical properties are moderately stiffened.

Abstract Based on an analysis of the Old Literary Tibetan corpus—a corpus of the oldest documented Tibetic language—the present study provides evidence that literary Tibetan v3 verb stems (commonly termed ‘future’) initially encoded passive voice. New arguments put forward in this article range from Trans‐Himalayan nominal morphology to early Tibetan ...

PHA Production in Plant Peroxisomes [PDF]
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are a group of bacterial carbon storage polymers which possess diverse plastic-like properties similar to polypropylene and polyethylene. However, unlike their petroleum-derived counterparts, these biorenewable polyesters are

Improving Population Health Through Housing Policy: Lessons From the Public Housing Program
Policy Points Housing is a fundamental social determinant of health and is particularly amenable to policy intervention. Policies that seek to improve health should improve housing quality, affordability, and stability. The public housing program has improved health across the life course, but the structure of the program currently limits its ...
