Distribution of Chernozems and Phaeozems in Central Germany during the Neolithic period
Abstract A well-based knowledge about the former distribution of Chernozems and Phaeozems is necessary to (i) better understand the factors influencing formation and degradation of these highly fertile soils, and (ii) better explain prehistoric settlement patterns that were also determined by natural factors such as soil fertility.

The influence of nutrients during natural vegetation restoration (NVR) in complicated landscapes and hydrologic conditions has often been debated. This study aimed to clarify how nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) runoff influences plant biomass and biodiversity during early restoration stages in gullies.

Simulating models for Phaeozem hyperspectral reflectance
International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2011It is difficult to analyse soil properties quantitatively with multispectral remote sensing data. An alternative solution is to determine the main spectral characteristic control points of soil hyperspectral reflectance curves by sensitivity analysis methods.

[Adsorption behavior of cadmium in phaeozem and burozem].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2007The study on the thermodynamics and kinetics of Cd2+ adsorption in phaeozem and burozem showed that within the test range, Cd2+ adsorption was increased with its increasing initial concentration, and phaeozem had a much higher Cd2+ adsorption capacity than burozem.
