Transcriptome-wide identification and expression analysis of DIVARICATA- and RADIALIS-like genes of the Mediterranean orchid Orchis italica. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Bilateral symmetry of flowers is a relevant novelty that has occurred many times throughout the evolution of flowering plants. In Antirrhinum majus, establishment of flower dorso-ventral asymmetry is mainly due to interaction of TCP (CYC and DICH) and ...

Automated mass spectrometry‐based profiling of multi‐glycosylated glycosyl inositol phospho ceramides (GIPC) reveals specific series GIPC rearrangements during barley grain development and heat stress response

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 122, Issue 6, June 2025.
Significance Statement This study introduces an automated method for detailed profiling of complex glycosyl inositol phosphor ceramides (GIPC), revealing their structural diversity and dynamic roles in barley grain development and stress responses. By advancing our understanding of GIPC in membrane stability and stress adaptation, this work provides a ...

Transcriptional Reprogramming Deploys a Compartmentalized ‘Timebomb’ in Catharanthus roseus to Fend Off Chewing Herbivores

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 48, Issue 5, Page 3236-3256, May 2025.
ABSTRACT The evolutionary arms race between plants and insects has led to key adaptive innovations that drive diversification. Alkaloids are well‐documented anti‐herbivory compounds in plant chemical defences, but how these specialized metabolites are allocated to cope with both biotic and abiotic stresses concomitantly is largely unknown.

Tetraspanin 5 orchestrates resilience to salt stress through the regulation of ion and reactive oxygen species homeostasis in rice

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 1, Page 51-71, January 2025.
Summary Tetraspanins (TETs) are integral membrane proteins, characterized by four transmembrane domains and a unique signature motif in their large extracellular loop. They form dynamic supramolecular complexes called tetraspanin‐enriched microdomains (TEMs), through interactions with partner proteins.

Assessment of Climate Change Impacts on the Distribution of Endangered and Endemic Changnienia amoena (Orchidaceae) Using Ensemble Modeling and Gap Analysis in China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2024.
The major factor limiting Changnienia amoena distribution range is temperature‐related, and its current suitable area is 58.33 × 104 km2, accounting for 6.08% of China. Climate change exerts an adverse effect on its potential distribution. Over 90% of the suitable habitat for C. amoena is in a zero‐protection status.
