Solar Coronal Heating and Limb Effect [PDF]
The quiet solar coronal heating problem and the observed center-to-limb wavelength variations of the solar lines (limb effect) can be explained. In this paper the quantitative calculations for these two phenomena are presented.

Universal Hydrogel Carrier Enhances Bone Graft Success: Preclinical and Clinical Evaluation
TX hydrogel improves the delivery of different types of particulate bone grafts, maintaining them at the implantation sites, and resulting in favorable bone regenerative outcomes. Abstract Orthopedic, maxillofacial, and complex dentoalveolar bone grafting procedures that require donor‐site bone harvesting can be associated with post‐surgical ...

The exact solutions of electrically charged phantom black holes with the cosmological constant are constructed. They are labelled by the mass, the electrical charge, the cosmological constant and the coupling constant between the phantom and the Maxwell field. It is found that the phantom has important consequences on the properties of black holes.

Engineering the Future of Restorative Clinical Peripheral Nerve Surgery
What if damaged nerves could regenerate more effectively? This review unveils cutting‐edge strategies to restore nerve function, from biomaterial scaffolds and bioactive molecules to living engineered tissues. By accelerating axonal regrowth, preserving Schwann cells, and enhancing connectivity, these approaches are reshaping nerve repair—offering new ...

Flow physics of planar bistable fluidic oscillator with backflow limbs
Abstract Fluidic oscillators (FOs) are used in a variety of applications, including process control and process intensification. Despite the simple design and operation of FOs, the fluid dynamics of FOs exhibit rich complexities. The inherently unstable flow, jet oscillations, and resulting vortices influence mixing and other transport processes.

Volumetric muscle loss (VML) due to trauma or surgery, often leads to physical impairments. Traditional treatments rely on autologous flaps, limited by muscle availability often leading to donor site morbidity. This study presents multimodal bioprinting as an innovative approach for fabricating vascularized muscle flaps with 3D‐printed macrovessels ...

A Neuromotor Device for Reducing Phantom Limb Pain in Individuals with Spinal Cord Injury
Phantom Limb Pain is a disorder that can be experienced by individuals after amputation or spinal cord injury. In spinal cord injury the paralysis or paresis is often bilateral, thus limiting the application of apparent movement as a therapeutic model ...

Silas Weir Mitchell (1829-1914), justly regarded as one of the founding fathers of neurology, published accounts of phantom limbs in the 1860s and 1870s,1 around the time that neurology was emerging as an independent clinical discipline (although earlier accounts of phantom limbs are recognised2).
