Positron-based attenuation correction for Positron Emission Tomography data using MCNP6 code
This paper presents the Monte Carlo simulation of the attenuation correction for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) data using MCNP6 code. Two attenuation correction maps have been generated, one for correcting the attenuation effect in a homogeneous ...

Patient-specific stopping power calibration for proton therapy planning based on single-detector proton radiography. [PDF]
A simple robust optimizer has been developed that can produce patient-specific calibration curves to convert x-ray computed tomography (CT) numbers to relative stopping powers (HU-RSPs) for proton therapy treatment planning.

Let \(X\) be a connected CW-complex with finite skeletons \(X_ n\). A map on \(X\) is called a phantom map if its restriction to each \(X_ n\) is null-homotopic. The authors construct a phantom map \(\Theta:X\to{\overset\infty\bigvee}\Sigma X_ n\) which is universal, in the sense that every phantom map on \(X\) factors through \(\Theta\) up to homotopy.

The goal of this work is to extend prior work on cardiac MR Fingerprinting (cMRF) using rosette k-space trajectories to enable simultaneous T1, T2, and proton density fat fraction (PDFF) mapping in the heart.

A Spectral CT Method to Directly Estimate Basis Material Maps From Experimental Photon-Counting Data [PDF]
The proposed spectral CT method solves the constrained one-step spectral CT reconstruction (cOSSCIR) optimization problem to estimate basis material maps while modeling the nonlinear X-ray detection process and enforcing convex constraints on the basis ...

Design of a realistic PET-CT-MRI phantom [PDF]
The validation of the PET image quality of new PET-MRI systems should be done against the image quality of currently available PET-CT systems. This includes the validation of new attenuation correction methods.

A Convex Reconstruction Model for X-ray Tomographic Imaging with Uncertain Flat-fields [PDF]
Classical methods for X-ray computed tomography are based on the assumption that the X-ray source intensity is known, but in practice, the intensity is measured and hence uncertain.

Deprojection of light distributions of nearby systems: perspective effect and non-uniqueness [PDF]
Deriving the 3-dimensional volume density distribution from a 2-dimensional light distribution of a system yields generally non-unique results. The case for nearby dust-free systems is studied, taking into account the extra constraints from the ...
