Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Anionic Citrate‐Based 3D‐Printed Scaffolds for Tunable and Sustained Orthobiologic Delivery to Enhance Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A potent anionic citric acid‐based 3D‐printed scaffold is developed for the sustained and controlled release of orthobiologics to enhance orthopedic therapeutic efficacy. Comprehensive in vivo studies demonstrated effective bone fusion and high safety at a low dose of BMP‐2 delivered by the system, establishing it as a promising platform for safe ...

Quantitative Ultrasound and B-mode Image Texture Features Correlate with Collagen and Myelin Content in Human Ulnar Nerve Fascicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate the usefulness of quantitative ultrasound (QUS) and B-mode texture features for characterization of ulnar nerve fascicles. Ultrasound data were acquired from cadaveric specimens using a nominal 30 MHz probe. Next, the nerves were extracted

ٍEfficacy of long-term outcomes of patients with war-related lower limb amputation

open access: yesطب جانباز, 2010
Background and purpose: Limb loss is a phenomenon that induces disability in patient undergoing amputation. Amputation is needed in treatment of war related patients and most of amputees suffer of chronic amputation-related pain.

Engineering Topographical Cues to Enhance Neural Regeneration in Spinal Cord Injury: Overcoming Challenges and Advancing Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spinal cord injury (SCI) poses significant challenges for regeneration due to a series of secondary injury mechanisms. How to use biomaterial approach to target the failed regeneration after SCI remains a critical challenge. This review systematically evaluates current strategies to optimize biomaterial topographies for neurite outgrowth, axonal ...

Calcium Imparts Advanced Functionalities to Silk Hydrogels for Biofabrication and Biomedical Innovation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The addition of calcium ions to silk fibroin enhances the hydrogel properties and, when combined with visible light crosslinking, enables compatibility with advanced light‐based fabrication techniques. Calcium ions extend the shelf‐life of silk and facilitate the fabrication of multizonal, multilayered constructs for advanced stimuli‐responsive ...

Constraints on the cosmic equation of state: age conflict versus phantom energy. Age-redshift relations in an accelerated universe

open access: yes, 2004
The currently available values and confidence limits for Omega_m0, H_0 and globular cluster ages still indicate that the dark energy that dominates the Universe could also be a form of quintessence or phantom energy.
