Electrochemical behaviour and voltammetric determination of rosuvastatin calcium in pharmaceutical preparations using a square-wave voltammetric method

, 2013
In this study, the electrochemical behaviour of rosuvastatin calcium, which is a hydroxy methyl glutaryl Co-A inhibitor (a member of the statin group), used for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia was investigated using cyclic ...

Determination of Reserpine in Pharmaceutical Preparations*

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1955
A method of assay for reserpine in pharmaceutical preparations is described. By this method the small amounts of reserpine usually found in commercially available fluid or dry formulations can be determined. A second step is included to indicate the extent of hydrolysis of reserpine which may occur in the presence of moisture.

The stability of neomycin in several pharmaceutical preparations*

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1955
Neomycin is a water‐soluble polybasic antibiotic relatively stable in solution over a range of pH 2.0 to 9.0. It is most active in alkaline solution and is active against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, but is inactive against fungi. In ointment bases, i.

Determination of acetylglutamine in pharmaceutical preparations

The Analyst, 1968
A colorimetric method for the quantitative determination of acetylglutamine, after acid hydrolysis, is proposed. An ion-exchange chromatographic procedure is described for the elimination of interfering substances in pharmaceutical preparations.

The Polarographic Determination of Tenoxicam in the Pharmaceutical Preparations

Analytical Letters, 1996
Abstract In this study, the polarographic behaviour and the optimum polarographic conditions for the determination of TNX using DC (direct current), DP (differential pulse), SCAP (superimposed constant amplitude pulse) and SIAP (superimposed increasing amplitude pulse) polarographic techniques are described based on the reduction of enol group of the ...

Transgenic Rabbits to Prepare Pharmaceutical Proteins

2009
The preparation of recombinant pharmaceutical proteins is one of the major challenges of biotechnology. Mammalian cells are required for a number of proteins which must be modified posttranscriptionally. Animal cell lines cultured in fermentors are presently the major source of complex proteins.

Crystalline Vitamin B12 in Pharmaceutical Preparations

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1952
Abstract Some pharmaceutical properties of crystalline vitamin B 12 are reported. The anhydrous solid is hygroscopic and may absorb about 12 per cent of moisture. The solid presents no unusual stability problem in the hydrated form, and is also stable in dry triturations with mannitol, sodium chloride, and certain sugars.

Benzocaine Determination in Pharmaceutical Preparations

Analytical Letters, 1982
Abstract A new sensitive method for rapid and accurate determination of benzocaine via hydroxamic acid formation is described. The solution of hydroxylamine hydrochloride is reacted with benzocaine in alkaline medium to give corresponding hydroxamic acid (II) which forms the purple coloured complex with FeCl3 in acidic medium, having a maximum ...
