On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?
Advanced Therapeutics, EarlyView.Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.In this study, saponin‐coated silica@gold nanocarriers responsive to NIR radiation is developed to enhance intratympanic drug delivery for cisplatin‐induced hearing loss (CIHL) treatment. The biocompatibility and oto‐protective properties are validated both in vitro and in vivo.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.The phototoxicity in nonlinear optical microscopy arises mainly from linear absorption of intrinsic biomolecules rather than nonlinear absorption. This mechanism is supported by a reproducible phototoxicity assay based on widely available chicken breast.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.Postoperative cardiac adhesions lead to numerous difficulties in reoperation procedures. Here, a thermo‐responsive in situ formed hydrogel is shown to can reliably cover the wounds after a convenient spraying or injection and significantly reduce adhesion formation in primary and recurrent cardiac injury adhesion models.
