Phase-shifting algorithms for nonlinear and spatially nonuniform phase shifts

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1997
In phase-shifting interferometry spatial nonuniformity of the phase shift gives a significant error in the evaluated phase when the phase shift is nonlinear. However, current error-compensating algorithms can counteract the spatial nonuniformity only in linear miscalibrations of the phase shift.

NOTES ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF PHASE SHIFTS

Modern Physics Letters B, 2008
We consider three-dimensional inverse scattering with fixed energy for which the spherically symmetrical potential is nonvanishing only in a ball. We give exact upper and lower bounds for the phase shifts. We provide a variational formula for the Weyl–Titchmarsh m-function of the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator defined on the half-line.

Phase-shifting Gabor holography

Optics Letters, 2009
We present a modified Gabor-like setup able to recover the complex amplitude distribution of the object wavefront from a set of inline recorded holograms. The proposed configuration is characterized by the insertion of a condenser lens and a spatial light modulator (SLM) into the classical Gabor configuration.

Accuracy of phase shifting interferometry

Applied Optics, 1988
The accuracy of phase shifting interferometers is impaired by mechanical drifts and vibrations, intensity variations, nonlinearities of the photoelectric detection device, and, most seriously, by inaccuracies of the reference phase shifter. The phase shifting procedure enables the detection of most of the errors listed above by a special Lissajous ...

Multichannel phase-shifted interferometer

Optics Letters, 1984
A new real-time interferometer based on diffraction phenomena is discussed. It consists of a point-diffraction interferometer fabricated on a transmission grating. The real-time data-analysis capability is achieved by simultaneously introducing a phase shift (piston) on the three separate channels of diffracted interferograms. Mathematical analysis and
