Phase angle and mortality: a systematic review
European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2019The phase angle, expressed through bioelectrical impedance, has been studied as a prognostic marker in several health conditions. As this issue is still conflicting, the question whether this parameter correlates with mortality in the most diverse clinical situations remains.

Abstract Any interactive computer-aided design technique for multivariable feedback systems is critically dependent on the deployment of an appropriate set of indicators with Which to assess stability, performance and robustness. Appropriate generalizations of the classical feedback concepts of gain and phase are developed for this purpose.

A phase angle standard for power frequencies (40–400 Hz) with a very low measuring uncertainty of 3 µrad is developed. The standard is based on a two-channel high-stability arbitrary waveform AC source for voltages up to 120 V and currents up to 6 A with high phase angle resolution which is realized as a development device with full computer control.
