Phase-Change Heat Transfer On Graphene Functionalized Surface
Phase-change heat transfer can be augmented by introducing surface functionalization by changing the surface wettability and surface energy. The liquid vaporizes and absorbs a large amount of latent heat from the surface, changing from the liquid state ...

Nigral dopaminergic (DA) neurons modulate and represent pain with a preference to a particular modality (mechanical) and laterality (contralateral), which are controlled by nigral GABAergic neurons. The pain modulation is mimicked by the nigro‐subthalamic projection and its downstream neurons, involving D2‐like receptors.

Exergy optimisation for cascaded thermal storage [PDF]
Cascaded thermal storage, consisting of multiple Phase Change Materials (PCMs) with different melting temperatures, has been proposed to solve the problem of poor heat transfer caused by unavoidable decrease of temperature differences during heat ...

Increasing thermal mass in lightweight dwellings using phase change materials – a literature review
The number of houses of lightweight timber or steel frame construction being built over recent years has increased significantly. These buildings have low thermal mass and may be subject to large temperature fluctuations and particular overheating during

FGF13 is upregulated in DRG neurons of PIPNP model mice. DRG neuron‐specific knockout of FGF13 ameliorates PIPNP symptoms. Mechanistically, FGF13 potentiates microtubule detyrosination by promoting VASH1 binding to microtubules. FGF13 knockout suppresses VASH1‐mediated microtubule detyrosination and promotes α‐tubulin tyrosination.

Annular flow enhanced two-phase evaporative heat exchanger for space-based systems [PDF]
The development of multi-kilowatt space-based systems requires the transport of waste heat loads over long distances in micro-gravity conditions. In this context two-phase heat transport systems are attractive enabling a high rate of heat transport ...
