Phase transformation on hydroxyapatite decomposition
Ceramics International, 2013Abstract The collapse of sintered hydroxyapatite (HA) has been attributed to HA decomposition; however, the detailed variations in microstructure are still unclear. Two phase transformation routes of HA decomposition during sintering were identified by transmission electron microscopy in this study.

Implementation of the Principle Phase Decomposition Algorithm
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2007This paper outlines the implementation details and enhancements of a previously described new concept in blind seismic deconvolution that is referred to as principle phase decomposition (PPD). A requirement of the PPD algorithm is for the investigator to determine the seismogram's dominant frequency (DF) and corresponding principle phase components ...

Decomposition of? phase in?+? titanium alloy
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 1975The thermal effects during heating of quenched VT22 alloy were investigated. It was found that the ..cap alpha.. + ..beta.. reversible ..beta.. transformation temperature is 920 to 930/sup 0/C. It appears that the ..beta.. solid solution is heterogeneous in chemical composition and the residues contain only that portion corresponding in electrochemical

Phase Transitions in the Dynamic Mode Decomposition Algorithm
2019 IEEE 8th International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP), 2019We analyze the Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) algorithm in the noisy data setting. Previous work has shown that DMD is a source separation algorithm in disguise, i.e., that it is capable of unmixing linearly mixed time series. In this work, we analyze the performance of DMD when the mixed time series are corrupted by noise.

Thermal decomposition of struvite and its phase transition
Chemosphere, 2008Intentional crystallization of struvite, before it forms and accumulates on wastewater treatment equipment, solves an important and costly wastewater treatment problem and on the other hand, provides an environmentally sound and renewable nutrient source to the agricultural industry.

Decomposition of Magnetic Phases in Alloys
Materials Science Forum, 2008In this paper we present a study of the separation of phases in multi-phase alloys. The proposed technique is based on the hyperbolic model of magnetization. In this work the normal magnetization curve of the model was fitted to the measured one.

Time Series Decomposition into Oscillation Components and Phase Estimation
Neural Computation, 2017Many time series are naturally considered as a superposition of several oscillation components. For example, electroencephalogram (EEG) time series include oscillation components such as alpha, beta, and gamma. We propose a method for decomposing time series into such oscillation components using state-space models.

Atmospheric pressure vapour phase decomposition: A proof of principle
Talanta, 2012In the present work we demonstrated that the digestion of difficult matrices (high boiling petrochemical fractions and distillation bottoms) can be achieved by oxidation with nitric acid vapours at atmospheric pressure employing simple laboratory glassware.
