Estimation of counted quantum phase
Physical Review A, 1995The estimation of phase shift in realistic experiments is addressed here. Provided that the phase concept is not ideal, the phase shift should always be inferred from the performed measurement. Particulary, two different estimations are suggested.

Frequency Locked Phase Estimation
2007 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2007A novel method of synchronization is proposed for the estimation of the phase of the fundamental component of harmonically distorted power line voltage. Common phase synchronization techniques involve a multiplication of the line voltage signal with an estimate of the fundamental line voltage component, to measure the discrepancy between the line phase

We shall in this section consider the asymptotic behavior of parameter estimates in the case of one-dimensional minimum phase ARMA schemes that are equivalent asymptotically in the Gaussian case to maximum likelihood estimates. Consider the stationary ARMA (p, q) minimum phase sequence {xt} $$ {x_{t}} - {\phi _{1}}{x_{t}}_{{ - 1}} - \cdots - {\phi _{

Estimators for instantaneous phase
Geoexploration, 1984Abstract Mean-squared error versus signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of four estimators of instantaneous phase are compared. The simulator produces a noisy waveform with noise-free signal having zero instantaneous phase. The zero-phase assumption is without loss of generality when reference waveforms are known a priori.

Estimating synchronization signal phase
SPIE Proceedings, 2015To read a watermark from printed images requires that the watermarking system read correctly after affine distortions. One way to recover from affine distortions is to add a synchronization signal in the Fourier frequency domain and use this synchronization signal to estimate the applied affine distortion.

Phase estimation in interferometry
Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1998Summary: An objective theory of phase shift estimation is formulated within quantum mechanics and quantum estimation theory. The general validity of Bayesian analysis even in the limit of very low particle numbers is demonstrated using the information of measured phase-sensitive data.

Optimizing qubit phase estimation
Physical Review A, 2016The theory of quantum state estimation is exploited here to investigate the most efficient strategies for this task, especially targeting a complete picture identifying optimal conditions in terms of Fisher information, quantum measurement, and associated estimator. The approach is specified to estimation of the phase of a qubit in a rotation around an
