Key to ENSO phase-locking simulation: effects of sea surface temperature diurnal amplitude

open access: yesnpj Climate and Atmospheric Science, 2023
The tendency of El Niño/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events to peak during boreal winter is known as ENSO phase-locking, whose accurate simulation is essential for ENSO prediction.

Fast Frequency Acquisition and Phase Locking of Nonplanar Ring Oscillators

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
Optical phase locking is a critical technique in space coherent optical communication and active coherent laser beam combining. In a typical optical phase locking loop based on nonplanar ring oscillators, the pull-in range is normally less than 1 MHz ...

A Fast-Locking All-Digital PLL With Triple-Stage Phase-Shifting

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This presents an all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL) system using triple-stage phase-shifting (TSPS) for fast locking. At the first stage, a phase-pulling multiplexer linearly pulls the phase of a feedback signal until the phase offset between the ...

Epigenetic reprogramming of lineage switching in cancer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer cells rarely commit to a single identity. Epigenetic mechanisms and tumor microenvironment cues push epithelial cells toward flexible, hybrid states that can shift into mesenchymal, neuroendocrine, or stem‐like fates, driving metastasis, drug resistance, and tumor heterogeneity. Targeting the epigenetic regulators behind these transitions, using

Pure phase-locking of beta/gamma oscillation contributes to the N30 frontal component of somatosensory evoked potentials

open access: yesBMC Neuroscience, 2007
Background Evoked potentials have been proposed to result from phase-locking of electroencephalographic (EEG) activities within specific frequency bands.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

The advance of El Niño phase locking from period 1982–2000 to 2001–2022

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Communications
The mature phases of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events exhibit a distinct tendency to peak towards the end of the calendar year, a phenomenon commonly referred to as ENSO phase locking.

Compensation characterization of the UPQC system under an improved nonlinear controller based on the MSTOGI-PLL device

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
To solve the delay problem of a unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) system during the separation of the fundamental positive-order components and to better filter out the DC and harmonic components to realize accurate phase locking, a mixed second ...

Phase‐error cancellation technique for fast‐lock phase‐locked loop

open access: yesIET Circuits, Devices & Systems, 2016
This paper presents a phase‐error cancellation (PEC) technique that can be employed to achieve fast lock in analogue phase‐locked loops (PLLs). The PLL works in fast‐lock mode during phase and frequency tracking, and is switched to normal mode after it is almost locked. Unstable system topology is introduced in this system for fast locking.

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...
