Temperature‐resolved in situ grazing‐incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering reveals that oxygen vacancies actively regulate crystallization in Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 thin films. By decoupling macroscopic strain from intrinsic phase evolution, a vacancy‐lean environment significantly lowers the activation energy barrier for crystallization.

Phase locking and absolute frequency stabilization of laser sources for a Pr:YSO quantum memory
We propose a scheme to phase lock a quantum-memory control laser, frequency-conversion pump laser, and two-photon source over three octaves in frequency to operate a quantum memory.

Tracking Battery Microstructural Degradation Through Directional Thermal Transport Signatures
In lithium‐ion batteries, heat conduction varies between the through‐plane and in‐plane directions because of the cell's layered structure. Therefore, cell degradation influences thermal conductivity in each direction uniquely due to detailed microstructural and compositional changes.

Silicon neurons that phase-lock
We present a silicon neuron with a dynamic, active leak that enables precise spike-timing with respect to a time-varying input signal. Our neuron models the mammalian bushy cell, which enhances the phase-locking of its acoustically driven inputs. Our model enhances phase-locking by up to 38% (quantified by vector strength) across a 60 dB range of ...

Exchange‐Coupled Two‐Dimensional MOFs
Graphene mediates ferromagnetic coupling between two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks and cobalt. Fe‐tetracyanobenzene develops a remanent magnetic response whose orientation follows the cobalt magnetization direction and persists up to room temperature, whereas Ni‐TCNB remains only field‐polarized.

A 3D Human Neuron‐on‐Chip Platform to Monitor Neuronal Injury Responses
This study presents a novel 3D Neuron‐on‐Chip model that can maintain human PSC‐derived excitatory prefrontal cortex neurons in 3D hydrogels and can be used to monitor neuronal injury responses over time. Results show injury‐induced acute neuronal excitotoxicity, declining neuronal connectivity, and the activation of a neurodegenerative, SASP‐like ...
