While characterization of coherent wavefields is essential to laser, x-ray and electron imaging, sensors measure the squared magnitude of the field, rather than the field itself. Holography or phase retrieval must be used to characterize the field. The need for a reference severely restricts the utility of holography.

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

3D Gerchberg-Saxton Optical Correlation
Since Gerchberg–Saxton algorithm was developed, it has been applied in various fields, e.g., optical display and optical tweezers. In this paper, three-dimensional (3D) Gerchberg–Saxton optical correlation is proposed. A 2D image is divided

KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Deep learning phase retrieval in x-ray single-particle imaging for biological macromolecules
Phase retrieval is an important optimization problem that occurs, for example, in the analysis of coherent diffraction patterns from isolated proteins. All iterative algorithms employed for phase retrieval in this context require some a priori knowledge ...

Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...
