Burst synchronization transition of intracellular Ca2+ oscillations in coupled cell systems
Considering four coupled identical and non-identical bursters with different topological types, both of the different synchronization transition paths and influence of the oscillatory patterns on synchronization are studied.

Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.

This work studies four carrier phase synchronizers (CPS) or carrier Phase Lock Loop (CPLL). The synchronizers are based in a loop with VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) that synchronizes the output feedback with the input. We consider four carrier synchronizers namely the analog, hybrid, combinational and sequential. The difference between them is in

Quantum Synchronisation in Nanoscale Heat Engines
Owing to the ubiquity of synchronization in the classical world, it is interesting to study its behavior in quantum systems. Though quantum synchronisation has been investigated in many systems, a clear connection to quantum technology applications is ...

Semiclassical Phase Reduction Theory for Quantum Synchronization
We develop a general theoretical framework of semiclassical phase reduction for analyzing synchronization of quantum limit-cycle oscillators. The dynamics of quantum dissipative systems exhibiting limit-cycle oscillations are reduced to a simple, one ...

A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Adaptive Hydrogels With Spatiotemporal Stiffening Using pH‐Modulating Enzymes
The chemomechanical coupling in an adaptive hydrogel is studied to further the development of adaptive hydrogels. This coupling is achieved by embedding a pH‐modulating enzyme in a pH‐responsive hydrogel. The enzymatic reaction can be triggered locally, which generates a pH‐decreasing wave throughout the system, increasing the crosslinking density and ...

Synchronizing noisy nonidentical oscillators by transient uncoupling
Synchronization is the process of achieving identical dynamics among coupled identical units. If the units are different from each other, their dynamics cannot become identical; yet, after transients, there may emerge a functional relationship between ...
