Sphygmogram analysis based on phase trajectories

Mattier's differential equation for parametric oscillation is suggested to be used as a method for simulating quasi-periodic processes in human body in terms of oscillation of the pulse wave produced by heart contraction. Obtained sphygmograms agree qualitatively with solutions of the Mattier's and Hill's equations at given shape of the exciting signal.

Phase trajectories in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 melts

A technique for constructing a phase diagram of the CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system on a computer using the kinematic approach to describe surfaces is proposed. The geometric structure of the diagram and its phase regions is described. Crystallization paths are considered for different parts of the diagram.

Vlasov model using kinetic phase point trajectories

A method of solution of the collisionless Vlasov equation by following fixed collisionless phase point ("particle") trajectories (characteristics) in phase space is presented. It solves the coupled Vlasov Maxwell system self-consistently and employs the Leapfrog-Trapezoidal scheme to solve for the characteristics explicitly.
