Topological polarisation states
Polarisation states are described by spin expectation values, known as Stokes parameters, the trajectories of which in a rotationally symmetric system form a sphere named after Poincaré.

Hidden parameters in open-system evolution unveiled by geometric phase
We find a class of open-system models in which individual quantum trajectories may depend on parameters that are undetermined by the full open-system evolution.

Dimension of Phase Point Trajectory
In a physical system, phase point trajectory is impossible to be space-filling curve, of which the dimension is not greater than one. Equipotential map concept is proposed. When phase point trajectory dimension is 0, calculus tool is no longer applicable. System state can be changed instantly.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Pacific Ocean Variability Influences the Time of Emergence of a Seasonally Ice‐Free Arctic Ocean
The Arctic Ocean is projected to become seasonally ice‐free before midcentury unless greenhouse gas emissions are rapidly reduced, but exactly when this could occur depends considerably on internal climate variability.

Anomalous Indoor Human Trajectory Detection Based on the Transformer Encoder and Self-Organizing Map
Anomalous human trajectory detection is a critical task in security surveillance in working areas. To identify anomalous human trajectories, understanding features of their movement plays an important role.

We formulate computationally efficient classical stochastic measurement trajectories for a multimode quantum system under continuous observation. Specifically, we consider the nonlinear dynamics of an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate contained within an ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Geometry-dependent scattering through quantum billiards: Experiment and theory
We present experimental studies of the geometry-specific quantum scattering in microwave billiards of a given shape. We perform full quantum mechanical scattering calculations and find an excellent agreement with the experimental results.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
