Unwrapping phase contrast MRI by iterative graph cuts
Abstract Purpose To develop and evaluate a phase unwrapping method for cine phase contrast MRI based on graph cuts. Methods A proposed Iterative Graph Cuts method was evaluated in 10 cardiac patients with two‐dimensional flow quantification which was repeated at low venc settings to provoke wrapping.

Combined MR quantitative susceptibility mapping and multi‐shell diffusion in Parkinson's disease
Abstract Background and Purpose Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM), neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging (NODDI), and the g‐ratio have separately shown differences between Parkinson's disease (PD) and healthy controls. The g‐ratio has, however, not been studied in PD in the substantia nigra (SN) and the putamen.

Retrieval of the atomic displacements in the crystal from the coherent x-ray diffraction pattern
We investigate the retrieval of spatially resolved atomic displacements via the phases of the direct(real)-space image reconstructed from the strained crystal's coherent x-ray diffraction pattern. We demonstrate that limiting the spatial variation of the

Auxetic Biomedical Metamaterials for Orthopedic Surgery Applications: A Comprehensive Review
Auxetic biomedical metamaterials for joint surgery, spinal surgery, trauma surgery, and sports medicine applications. Poisson's ratio in auxetic materials shifts from typically positive to negative, causing lateral expansion during axial tension. This scale‐independent characteristic, originating from tailored architectures, exhibits specific physical ...

Comparison between LCOS projector and DLP projector in generating digital sinusoidal fringe patterns [PDF]
Digital-light-processing (DLP) and liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) are two digital projection technologies which enjoy great popularity. This paper will demonstrate the performance of the two technologies in generating digital sinusoidal fringe patterns

Fourier Decomposition-Based Phase Processing Technique: A Novel Approach for 1-D Phase Unwrapping
The performance of coherence analysis system (CAS) is critically dependent on phase accuracy. Most advanced phase unwrapping (PU) algorithms are designed for 2-D problem, but data from various interferometric systems are typically acquired as 1-D time ...

First TerraSAR-X interferometry evaluation [PDF]
The German radar satellite TerraSAR-X was launched in June 2007 [1] and is currently ending its commissioning phase. We anticipate quite different interferometric application scenarios compared to ERS- 1/2 and ASAR due to the X-band frequency, the ...

Odor‐Active Compounds in Flexible Polyurethane Materials
Flexible polyurethane (PU) materials find extensive use in upholstery, mattresses, and automobiles, yet the molecular background of their odor is still inadequately understood. To address this gap, we aimed at identifying major odorants in fifteen samples representing eight common types of flexible PU materials.
