Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Simulation and experimental measurement of digital multi-beamforming phased antenna array in the frequency range C

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
The selection of element for constructing a phased array antenna was carried out. It provides a relative frequency bandwidth up to 9% for the transmitting or receiving part in wireless communication system.

Phased Array Ultrasonic Sector Scan Imaging of Helicopter Damper Bolts Based on Vector Coherence Factor

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Non-destructive testing of the cracks on the in-service bolt’s shank with size M18 is a challenging technical problem. Due to the weak echo energy of cracks with large buried depths, the conventional phased array ultrasonic sector scan imaging has a low ...

Acousto-optic signal processors for transmission and reception of phased-array antenna signals [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Novel acousto-optic processors for control and signal processing in phased-array antennas are presented. These processors can operate in both the antenna transmit and receive modes.

Phased Antenna Array Implementation with USRP [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Globecom Workshops (GC Wkshps), 2017
This paper presents the implementation of a phased antenna array with Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). The antenna elements of the array are driven by individual USRP platforms. Hence, the synchronization and calibration of different platforms are required in phase and amplitude.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Nonlinear Ultrasonic Phased Array Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
This Letter reports a technique for the imaging of acoustic nonlinearity. By contrasting the energy of the diffuse field produced through the focusing of an ultrasonic array by delayed parallel element transmission with that produced by postprocessing of sequential transmission data, acoustic nonlinearity local to the focal point is measured. Spatially

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
