Geophysical Investigations at the Artemision at Amarynthos of Euboea (Greece)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A combination of resistivity mapping and three‐dimensional electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) was used to investigate the subsurface of the sanctuary of Artemis Amarysia in Amarynthos, Euboea (Greece), an area where archaeological remains from the Bronze Age to the post‐Byzantine period are preserved.

Survey and Sequence Strategies for Full‐3D Electrical Resistivity Tomography in Archaeological Sites: A Case Study on a Domus of the Roman Town of Augusta Bagiennorum (NW Italy)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Preliminary geophysical investigations are a cost‐effective and efficient way to screen archaeological sites and locate buried structures. Ground‐penetrating radar (GPR) is one of the most widely used methods for archaeological prospection, but in some sites, it cannot be employed effectively due to the presence of clay or other electrically ...

Benchmarking the Transferability of Real‐Time State of Charge Algorithms to Sodium‐Ion Cells Using an Open‐Source Diagnostics Framework

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
Our open‐source evaluation framework enables rigorous benchmarking of real‐time algorithims. We showcase its functionality through a sodium‐ion battery case study, highlighting key strenghts and limitations for SOC diagnostics. Despite the abundance of battery state estimation algorithms in the BMS literature, their applicability to emerging cell ...

A 3.5-Dimensional Variational Method for Doppler Radar Data Assimilation and Its Application to Phased-Array Radar Observations

open access: yesAdvances in Meteorology, 2010
A 3.5-dimensional variational method is developed for Doppler radar data assimilation. In this method, incremental analyses are performed in three steps to update the model state upon the background state provided by the model prediction.

Coupling of 0D/1D Grain Boundaries Inducing Extreme Charge Rearrangement/Magnetic Resonance for Ultrabroadband Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The 0D/1D grain boundary coupling between Fe₃O₄ quantum dots and CNTs induces extreme charge redistribution and short‐range magnetic resonance, enabling complete electromagnetic wave absorption across the entire X and Ku bands. ABSTRACT Ferrite–carbon composites effectively absorb electromagnetic (EM) waves via coupled mechanisms.
