Amylase Activities and Starch Contents as Affected by Source-Sink Relation during Initial Regrowth of Phasey Bean (Macroptilium lathyroides (L..) Urb.)

open access: yesAmylase Activities and Starch Contents as Affected by Source-Sink Relation during Initial Regrowth of Phasey Bean (Macroptilium lathyroides (L..) Urb.)
Our objects are to determine physiological mechanisms controlling the shoot regrowth with storage starch degradation by amylases during initial regrowth of phasey bean. Plants were grown and transferred into the controlled environmental chamber set at 200℃ on 30℃ (low on high temperature pretreatment: LTP and HTP, respectively).

Fermentation Quality of Phasey Bean and Guineagrass Silages

open access: yes, 2021
Silages were made from guineagrass (Panicum maximum Jacq. var. maximum) and phasey bean (Macroptilium lathyroides (L.) Urb.) at three-growth stages. The silages were investigated in relation fermentation quality.

Effects of Solution, Soil and Sand Cultures on Nodulation and Growth of Phasey Bean [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Plants of phasey bean (Macroptilium lathyroides cv. Murray) were grown in nitrogen-free nutrient solution, sod, or sand culture in a naturally-Nt glasshouse. Nodulation, dry matter accumulation in plant parts, and seed yields were assessed. Partitioning

Influence Of Intra-Row Plant Spacing, Phosphorus Application And Growth Stage On The Forage, Seed Yields And Quality Of Phasey Bean (Macroptilium lathyroides) In Subhumid Area Of Nigeria

open access: yes, 2015
Forage, seed yields and herbage chemical composition of phasey bean (Macroptilium lathyroides) were investigated at 3 intra-row plant spacings (15, 30 and 45cm between plants ; 50 cm between rows), 4 phosphorus (P) fertilizer application rates (0, 50 ...

The effects of height and frequency of previous defoliation on nodulation, nitrogen fixation and regrowth of Phasey bean [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Inoculated seeds of phasey bean (Macroptilium lathyroides cv. Murray) were sown in a sand culture in a naturally-lit glasshouse, and irrigated daily with nitrogen-free nutrient solution.
