Type specimens of Phasmida in the Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum, Leiden (Insecta: Phasmida)
1996Type specimens of 75 taxa of Phasmida have been identified in the Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum, Leiden. The taxa are listed alphabetically by species, with the number of specimens, sex and locality data. The material includes species described by Bragg, Bragg & Chan, Gunther, de Haan, Kirby, Lichtenstein, Olivier, and Stoll.

Biological Observations on Timema californica (Phasmoidea: Phasmidae)
Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1966Timema californica Scudder, a wingless phasmid, is found on live oaks, Quercus agrifolia , in coastal California. It was maintained in the laboratory on oak leaves liberally sprinkled with drops of water from which the insects drank. Adults lived 2–3 months, feeding on less than 1 leaf each per day and dropping 6–8 fecal pellets.
