Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) is a polyester of 3-hydroxybutyric acid (HB) that is ubiquitously present in all organisms. In higher eukaryotes PHB is found in the length of 10 to 100 HB units and can be present in free form as well as in association with

Thermal Stability and Flammability Behavior of Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) Based Composites
A series of samples based on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) containing five different additives were prepared and their thermal stability and flammability were discussed.

A 9,10‐dihydro‐9,10‐disilaanthracene platform was efficiently synthesized and features intrinsically electrophilic Si sites. Upon stepwise reductive Si─H bond cleavage, these Si sites are converted into nucleophilic centers. This controlled polarity switching also enables ambiphilic reactivity within a homo‐heteroelement framework.

Accurately measuring biodiversity change remains a central challenge in ecology. Beyond the general idea of quantifying temporal species frequency changes, several sampling‐related biases in data collection remain key methodological challenges to consider. Long‐term standardized ecological data are rare, and most available datasets exhibit considerable

Production of PHB in activated sludge.
The experiments were carried out to produce PHB (Poly-β-Hydroxybutyrate) in activated sludge. The production of PHB under nitrogen limited condition was confirmed and CH3COONa was better than glucose as carbon source for production of PHB. Content of PHB was stabilized to its maximum stage around 250 hours by continuous process and it was achieved to ...

Corticocortical evoked potential amplitude is altered by cortical stimulation in epilepsy
Abstract Objective Neurostimulation is an established therapy for drug‐resistant epilepsy, but optimizing stimulation parameters remains a major challenge. Corticocortical evoked potential (CCEP) amplitude may serve as an immediate biomarker of neurostimulation effects, enabling rapid parameter optimization.

Abstract BACKGROUND The aim of this work was to characterize the polyphenolic profile of encapsulated purple sweet potato peel extract (PSPPE), to assess the effects of its addition (1.5 and 3 g L−1) on the color, texture, microbiological quality, microstructure, and sensory attributes of fresh goat cheese, and to monitor the polyphenolic profile and ...
