Reductive Transformation of ALD TeO2 into Continuous and Impurity‐Free Tellurium Films

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Atomic layer deposition forms a conformal TeO2 template that transforms to elemental Te through TeH2 mediated reduction using Te(SiMe3)2 and NH3. The transformation is self‐limiting and yields continuous crystalline Te with oxygen‐free bulk and interface even at ultrathin thicknesses.

Synthesis and characterization of branched multiblock copolymers of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) autoxidized fatty acid and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA)

open access: yesScientific Reports
The branched multiblock copolymer based on fatty acid, methyl methacrylate and PHB was first time synthesized. Autoxidation is the reaction of unsaturated fatty acids with air oxygen leading to macroperoxide initiators. Poly (3-hydroxy butyrate), PHB, is

Genetic and phenotypic characterization of intestinal spirochetes colonizing chickens and allocation of known pathogenic isolates to three distinct genetic groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Infection with intestinal spirochetes has recently been recognized as a cause of lost production in the poultry industry. Little is known about these organisms, so a collection of 56 isolates originating from chickens in commercial flocks in Australia ...

Inter‐/Intramolecular π‐Stacking in a Benzannulated NCN‐Coordinated Pd(II) Monomer and Dimer Pair: Synthesis, Structure, and Photophysics

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
A cyclometalallated palladium complex and its acetate‐bridged dinuclear analogue, both supported by 1,3‐bis(2‐quinolinyl)benzene ligands, are described. The mononuclear (but not the dinuclear) complex is weakly phosphorescent in the deep red region of the spectrum in solution at room temperature, and both compounds phosphoresce in frozen media at 77 K ...

Monetary Policy, Investor Sentiment and Stock Price Bubble: Evidence From China

open access: yesAccounting &Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The empirical results indicate that an increase in interest rates may stimulate a significant and persistent stock price bubble, which is consistent with rational asset price bubble theory. This finding suggests that central banks should implement anti‐turbulent monetary policy with caution, since inappropriate tightening may unintentionally ...

Denitrification, activity of bacterial flocs, and growth of a filamentous bacterium in relation with the bulking of activated sludge [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
Activated sludge with poor settling characteristics is caught under the term "bulking" sludge. Various types of bulking activated sludge can be distinguished.1) Sludge containing an abundance of filamentous microorganisms.2) Sludge, characterized by ...

Development and Validation of an Instrument to Assess Endodontists' Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding Cone‐Beam Computed Tomography

open access: yesAustralian Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT There is a scarcity of data regarding knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) of endodontists about cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT), which may be related to the lack of valid and reliable measures. The present study aimed to develop and validate a KAP measure about CBCT.

Assessing the Vulnerability of an Inuit Archaeological Site in a Changing Periglacial Environment: A Novel Multimethod Geophysical Approach in Arctic Geoarchaeology

open access: yesArchaeometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT With northern regions warming at twice the global rate, assessing the state of archaeological sites in these areas is critically important. In this study, we used a multimethod geophysical approach (ERT, GPR, and EMI) to characterize the current geocryological conditions of an Inuit archaeological site on South Aulatsivik Island (Labrador ...

Physicochemical characterization of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) produced by the rare halophile Brachybacterium paraconglomeratum MTCC 13074

open access: yesMicrobial Cell Factories
Background Polyhydroxybutyrate is a biopolymer produced by bacteria and archaea under nitrogen-limiting conditions. PHB is an essential polymer in the bioplastic sector because of its biodegradability, eco-friendliness, and adaptability.
