Objective Complement component 4 (C4), encoded by C4A and C4B within the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) on chromosome 6, regulates the immune response and clears immune complexes. Variable copy number (CN) of C4 genes and retroviral HERV‐K element influence its function.

Multilevel analysis of ethnic clustering across local schools: Exploring group dynamics

Abstract This study examines ethnic clustering patterns across English secondary schools from 2010 to 2018 using National Pupil Database data and multilevel modelling. Despite concerns about increased segregation following educational reforms, findings reveal a general decline in ethnic concentration across all groups during this period.

‘They just want the perfect kids on show’: The illegal exclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities from primary schools

Abstract Guidance from the Department for Education stipulates that permanent exclusions should only be used as a last resort and where there is potential for harm to come to anyone in the school setting. Suspensions are positioned as a tool to communicate to a pupil that their behaviour is in breach of the school's behaviour policy.
