The effect of Phelipanche ramosa infection on the quality of tomato fruit

Weed Research, 2010
Longo AMG, Lo Monaco A & Mauromicale G (2010). The effect of Phelipanche ramosa infection on the quality of tomato fruit. Weed Research50, 58–66.SummaryThe influence of the root holoparasite Phelipanche ramosa on the physical characteristics and chemical composition of greenhouse‐grown tomato fruits was studied over two growing seasons.

Characterisation of resistance to branched broomrape, Phelipanche ramosa, in winter oilseed rape

Crop Protection, 2012
Over the past decade, Phelipanche ramosa, a weedy parasitic plant (broomrape), has been increasingly infesting winter oilseed rape (WOSR) fields in France. Elite WOSR lines have shown different responses in P. ramosa infested fields, suggesting that genetic variability might be available for breeding programmes targeting broomrape resistance.

Culturable endophytic bacteria from Phelipanche ramosa (Orobanchaceae) seeds

Seed Science Research, 2020
AbstractEndophytic microbiomes play a beneficial role in the development and protection of plants. However, seed-borne endophytic bacteria have not yet been fully explored. Investigation of parasitic plants, whose existence depends on yet poorly understood and complicated relationships with microorganisms and hosts, is particularly crucial.

Assessment of phylogenetic signal in the germination ability of Phelipanche ramosa on Brassicaceae hosts

Weed Research, 2016
SummaryPhelipanche ramosa is a generalist parasitic weed known to cause yield losses in various crops, especially in winter oilseed rape, its new preferred host in France. This parasitic plant is also able to complete its life cycle on many Brassicaceae weeds, which are thus important alternative hosts.

Phelipanche ramosa (L.) Pomel populations differ in life-history and infection response to hosts

Flora - Morphology, Distribution, Functional Ecology of Plants, 2013
Phelipanche ramosa (broomrape) is a root-holoparasitic angiosperm that attacks a wide number of annual crops. According to the host, the duration of its life cycle can range from 14 weeks (on tomato/tobacco) to 40 weeks (on oilseed rape). We conducted a cross-infection experiment to evaluate the intensity and kinetics of infection of broomrape ...

Biocontrol of Phelipanche ramosa, a parasitic weed of rapeseed in France, using soil-borne fungi

2021
Phelipanche ramosa is a major holoparasitic weed, which became a major agronomic problemfor rapeseed crops in France. Weed control in rapeseed does not have a direct impact on thisparasitic weed whose half of the reproductive cycle occurs on the root system of its host.

Investigation on Chemical Control of Broomrape (Phelipanche ramosa (L.) Pomel/ P.aegyptiaca (Pers.) Pomel) in Tomato Fields

2014
his study was carried out in 2007 and 2008 in İzmir, Ödemiş – Bozdağ, Ovacık village. In this study control, rimsulfuron 5 g/da (two applications with an interval of 15 days), imazapic 2.5 cc/da (two applications with an ...
