Food Chemistry, 2003
This study was carried out to expand the utilization (for the pharmaceutical and food industries) of extracts of Phellinus baumii. Fractions rich in phenolics were extracted from P. baumii using various solvents. Antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity were studied using a β-carotene-linoleate model system and reactive oxygen species ...

Pairing tests in the Phellinus pini group
Mycologia, 1994Pairing tests were used to determine pat? terns of sexuality and to define species in the Phellinus pini group. Intrastock pairings demonstrated a uni? factorial pattern of sexuality in 48 of the 54 samples from Europe, Morocco, North America, and Asia. Ir? regular patterns were observed in two stocks from North America and four stocks from Asia. Using

Sexuality and somatic incompatibility in Phellinus gilvus
Mycologia, 1995Phellinus gilvus was found to have an out? crossing, bifactorial (tetrapolar) mating system. Two types of heterokaryon formation were evident in in- trabasidiome homokaryon-homokaryon pairings: 1) bidirectional nuclear migration resulting in the for? mation of a single heterokaryotic thallus, and 2) re?

Modulation of T cell response by Phellinus linteus
Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering, 2016Phellinus linteus, a species of mushroom, has been shown to contribute to health benefits, such as anti-inflammatory activity and immunomodulatory efficacy. The aim of this study was to analyze the most effective constituents of P. linteus fermented broths, polysaccharides, and to evaluate their immunoregulatory effects on T cells.

Lanostane-triterpenoids from the fungus Phellinus gilvus
Phytochemistry, 2009Triterpenoids gilvsins A-D (1-4), with oxygenated lanostane skeletons, were isolated from the fruiting body of Phellinus gilvus, together with two known compounds, 24-methylenelanost-8-ene-3beta, 22-diol and 5alpha-ergosta-7,22-diene-3-one. The structures of 1-4 were deduced from analysis of spectroscopic data.

Ceramides from the fungus Phellinus pini
Phytochemistry, 1996Abstract Two new ceramides were identified among the chemical constituents of the fungus Phellinus pini. The structures of these compounds, N- (2′-hydroxynonacosanoyl)- d -erythro-1,3,4- trihydroxy-2-amino-octadecane and N- (2′-hydroxytriacontanoyl)- d -erythro-1,3,4- trihydroxy-2-amino-octadecane , were established by ...
