On phenomenological mechanochemical muscle models – II
Biorheology, 1981Using the kinetic models developed in Part I, a set of general continuum thermodynamic constitutive equations of the internal state variable type are proposed for striated muscle tissue and analyzed. Restrictions put on the arguments of the stress tensor, heat flux vector, free energy and reaction rate expressions are deduced using general arguments of

Phenomenological Modelling of IDI Diesel Engines
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1997<div class="htmlview paragraph">A multi-zone model for the prediction of performance and emissions of indirect injection diesel engines is presented. The interaction between turbulent mixing and chemical reaction, which primarily controls combustion, is described as a stochastic process by means of a Monte Carlo <i>collision-dispersion< ...

A phenomenological mathematical model of hysteresis
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 2001This paper starts with the description of a purely mathematical model of the saturation curve and the hysteresis loop based on the fundamental similarities between the Langevin function the specified T(x) function and the sigmoid shape. The T(x) function which is composed of tangent hyperbolic and linear functions with its free parameters can describe ...

Phenomenological resonance model with anitsotropy
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1987Abstract An anisotropic version of the Schotte resonance model is introduced. The anisotropy simulates the property of a virtual mixing operator rather than of the local ionic manifold. A logarithmically divergent susceptibility, describing a marginally screened magnetic moment, is found.

Potentials and Limits of Phenomenological Models
2019In this chapter we discuss general potentials and fundamental limits of prediction models for side effects in radiotherapy, in particular those models that result from data-driven analysis. The aim is to learn how and when we can trust these models and safely utilize them to optimize the treatment of patients.

Phenomenological model for the BIAX
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1965This paper describes a model developed for the operation of the BIAX as applicable to an NDRO memory system. The role of a field transverse to the storage direction during writing is described. Factors contributing to the output and to the back voltage are pointed out to explain the ratio observed between these two. These individual contributions arise

Phenomenological Combustion Models
2011For the calculation of engine combustion processes, various model categories can be employed, which are quite diverse in their level of detail, but also in their calculation time requirements, see Stiesch (2003). Calculation models are customarily designated as phenomenological models that can calculate combustion and pollutant formation contingent ...

Technicolor phenomenology and models
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1992In this lecture, I will describe three aspects of recent work on technicolor theories. The first is the possible existence of new light physics in the presence of near‐critical high energy ETC interactions. The second is the convergence of the ladder expansion. The third is the precision experimental testing of technicolor theories.
