Offical monitoring of the spreading of Diabrotica virgifera virgifera in Slovenia has been organized since 1997. Every year it was carried out by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia together with Phythosanitary Inspection.

We describe methods for collecting and rearing the tachinid parasitoid Istocheta aldrichi from parasitized Japanese beetle adults. We conducted the first radio‐tracking study on Osmoderma barnabita to examine the movement ecology and habitat selection in the Eastern Carpathians. A female recorded the longest movement distance and had larger home ranges than males. It showed a preference for Quercus petraea, with wood mould cavities and DBH as key predictors.
