Phialophora sessilis, a lithobiont fungus
Mycotaxon, 2006Phialophora sessilis was repeatedly isolated from marble powder in a cemetery site in Pavia (Italy). Morphological characteristics of this strain are reported. Its probable role as a lithobiont with a high adaptability to different organic sources is discussed.

Mycotic Granuloma Caused byPhialophora repens
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1975This is the first reported infection by the saprophytic fungus, Phialophora repens. The infection was a solitary granulomatous nodule in the scalp of a Zaïrian man with advanced lepromatous leprosy. The patient was being treated by long-term prednisolone therapy.

Cellulose degradation and cellulase formation by Phialophora malorum
