Variation in the Philadelphia chromosome
Human Genetics, 1977Cytogenetic study of 17 cases of chronic myeloid leukaemia has shown that the Philadelphia chromosome is a variable entity, differing in size and banding pattern between individuals.

The Philadelphia chromosome and Philadelphia chromosome mosaicism in chronic granulocytic leukemia.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 1986(CGL) is a disease of clonal origin, typically characterized by the presence of the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph) in hematopoietic cells. The Ph was the first consistent chromosomal abnormality to be described in a malignant disease.' It is found in approximately 90% of patients with CGL and appears to be one of the earliest abnormalities detectable in ...

Essential thrombocythaemia and the Philadelphia chromosome
British Journal of Haematology, 1988Six adult patients presented with clinical features of essential thrombocythaemia. Five of the patients, although Ph‐positive, have maintained these features without evidence of leukaemia; in one case for 9 years. A sixth patient developed leukaemic blast crisis following a persistently high platelet count over 4 years.

Philadelphia chromosome in eosinophilic leukemia
The American Journal of Medicine, 1965Abstract Clinical and cytogenetic findings in a patient with eosinophilic leukemia are presented. The Philadelphia (Ph 1) chromosome was found in 88.2 per cent of bone marrow cells studied by the direct method. The leukocyte alkaline phosphatase score was 25 (normal, 16 to 55).

Erythroleukemia With Philadelphia Chromosome
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1973To The Editor.— The Philadelphia (Ph') chromosome is associated with 85% of patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia,1a few cases with polycythemia vera2and acute myelocytic leukemia,3in some apparently healthy individuals,4and also in a man with preleukemic state for almost six years.5 Chromosomal analysis in patients with erythroleukemia ...

Virchows Archiv B Cell Pathology, 1978The cytogenetics, cytology and cytochemistry, clinical findings, therapeutic response and survival of patients presenting with acute leukemia and the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph1) are briefly reviewed based upon a survey of the world literature and 16 cases seen at the University of Minnesota during the last 10 years.

Reciprocal translocation and the Philadelphia chromosome
Human Genetics, 1978We examined metaphases from three patients with chronic myeloid leukaemia and a typical Philadelphia chromosome with one chromosome 9 as the recipient to determine whether the 9q+22q- translocation is reciprocal. Good quality G-banded photographs of the chromosomes concerned were subjected to light absorption density analysis.
