Silent Philadelphia Chromosome
Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics, 2000In this paper, a patient is described who presented with peripheral blood and bone marrow features uncharacteristic of chronic granulocytic leukemia, which proved to be Philadelphia (Ph) chromosome-positive by metaphase and interphase cytogenetic analyses but lacked the p210 type of BCR/ABL fusion gene mRNA product by two different sensitive RT-PCR ...

The occurrence of the Philadelphia chromosome in essential thrombocytosis
Human Genetics, 1981The Philadelphia chromosome, assessed with banding techniques, was detected in 98.3% of bone marrow cells of a 46-year-old black female presenting with essential thrombocytosis. The patient has been followed for the past two years with no signs of chronic myelocytic leukemia.

The Philadelphia or Short Y Chromosome
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1974To the Editor.— In the case of the patient with erythroleukemia and Philadelphia (Ph') chromosome described by Pacheco et al (226:787, 1973), the sex of the patient is not stated. Since erythrocytic glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency was also present, we suspect that the patient was a man.

Acute Myeloid Leukaemia with the Philadelphia Chromosome
Scandinavian Journal of Haematology, 1977A case report of serial chromosome studies on a 26‐year‐old male with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is presented. The classic Philadelphia chromosome (Ph1) transloca‐tion, t (9; 22) was found in 77 % of the metaphases at diagnosis and in 100 % in relapse; during a 3‐month remission period the cytogenetic picture was normal or the Ph1 was present in a ...
