Inversion of Moho topography in Taiwan using improved Parker-Oldenburg method

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Taiwan is located at the junction between the Philippine Sea Plate and the Eurasian Plate, with intense tectonic movements in the region. A more accurate Moho topography model is significant for the study of the intrinsic genesis within Taiwan’s orogenic

Serological Benefit of SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccination Relative to Infection in Children With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.

Egg‐Carrying and Cheliceral Comb in Ibaloniinae Harvestmen From the Solomon Islands (Opiliones: Podoctidae)

open access: yesAustral Entomology, Volume 65, Issue 3, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Four new species of Ibaloniinae harvestmen are described from the Solomon Islands, Melanesia. Based on the original diagnosis of Euibalonius Roewer, 1915, and description of E. maculatus (Roewer, 1915), this material appeared related to that genus. However, examination of syntype photographs of the type species E.

Basal reflector under the Philippine Sea Plate

open access: yes, 2012
To place constraints on the observability and properties of the lithosphere–asthenosphere boundary (LAB), we sought SH precursors to sS from earthquakes beneath the Philippine Sea Plate.

Breastfeeding Education in Kindergarten Through 12th Grade: A Content Analysis of United States Health Curriculum Standards

open access: yesJournal of School Health, Volume 96, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Breastfeeding provides critical health benefits for both infants and mothers, yet misconceptions and social discomfort persist. Schools can play an essential role in shaping positive attitudes toward breastfeeding; however, little is known about how this topic is addressed in United States (US) curricula.

Phylogeny‐based generic delimitations of the diverse leafhopper tribe Gyponini, including the establishment of a new tribe of Iassinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae)

open access: yesSystematic Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 3, July‐September 2026.
Phylogenetic relationships among 97.6% of Gyponini genera and 97.4% of subgenera were inferred using morphological and multilocus molecular data. Analyses support the monophyly of Gyponini, transfer Hoplojassini to Hylicinae and establish Chilenanini trib. nov. within Iassinae.

Full‐Length Next‐Generation Sequencing of 11 HLA Loci of More Than 1000 Individuals From Clinical Cohorts in East and West Africa

open access: yesHLA, Volume 108, Issue 1, July 2026.
ABSTRACT HLA loci have been implicated in several diseases, including HIV‐1, from different world populations. It is necessary to characterise HLA allele variation at the population level prior to investigating associations linked to human diseases. In global databases, limited high‐resolution HLA allele types generated by next‐generation sequencing ...

Generation Mechanisms of Intermediate‐Depth and Deep Earthquakes in Southwestern Japan: Implications for the Tearing or Thinning of the Pacific Slab

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract We performed a stress tensor inversion using focal mechanisms from intermediate‐depth and deep earthquakes to estimate the stress regime of the Pacific slab beneath southwestern Japan. We focused on the temporally averaged stress field derived from the recent 28‐year data set of the F‐net CMT solutions.
