New species of the genus Chelopistes (Ischnocera: Philopteridae) from Pakistan

A new species of Chelopistes Keler from common turkey fowl Meleagris gallopavo L. from Karachi, Pakistan is described in detail with reference to morphology and genitalia. The new species is also compared with its closest known ally, Chelopistes meleagridis, a common cosmopolitan parasite previously described from common turkey fowl.
